Chairwoman Nicole Boyd of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians is set to deliver the annual State of the Tribes address at the Wisconsin State Capitol on Feb. 10. You can hear the address on WPR News at 7 p.m. or watch it on The Wisconsin Channel (PBS-2) at 9 p.m. The address will also stream live beginning at 11 a.m. on Feb. 10 and be available later on demand at pbswisconsin.org/state-of-the-tribes.

The event brings together leaders from Wisconsin’s 11 federally recognized tribal nations and state lawmakers to highlight priorities facing Native communities. Now in its 22nd year, the State of the Tribes address serves as a platform for tribal leaders to outline key issues affecting Indigenous communities across Wisconsin and to strengthen government-to-government relationships with state officials.

PBS Wisconsin’s and WPR’s coverage reflects a shared commitment to providing many perspectives on life in Wisconsin through broadcast, digital, and community-focused work.
