There will be 36 additional bike share stations in Milwaukee by next summer, with 15 being installed this fall.

The city of Milwaukee and Bublr Bikes presented their proposed locations at a public meeting Monday and are seeking feedback. Kevin Hardman, the executive director of Bublr Bikes, said the goal is to make sure the bike stations are within a half-mile of each other. Hardman also said he wants to expand the project into low-income neighborhoods.

“It takes a lot of stations and resources to continue that expansion out,” he said. “And we’re really excited with this expansion here that we’re really getting into the Milwaukee neighborhoods. And we’ve got a long way to go, but this is a good start.”
