Although an exasperated President Lincoln once said he wished all of them would go home, Wisconsin soldiers played a major part in the Civil War. Writer, historian, and WPR staffer Erika Janik will describe the flow of Wisconsin volunteers and draftees into the war, their experiences in some of the war’s most deadly encounters, and the effects of the war on the home front.
