The North Country National Scenic Trail wends its way from Vermont to North Dakota, with 220 miles of that traversing Northern Wisconsin. But 80 miles of that route is incomplete. Peter Nordgren of the North Country Trail Association speaks with “Simply Superior” host Robin Washington about the adventures of hiking the trail, the gaps to be filled in, and the prospects for completion in the next few years.
Also, Tony Bennett has been a fixture on the Twin Ports music scene since the 1990s, but we’re not talking about the singer who left his heart in San Francisco. Our locally born-and-bred Tony Bennett has a repertoire ranging from hard rock to pop in both group and solo acts, the latter featured this month in a residency at Superior’s Earth Rider Brewery. He joins Washington with a selection of his work.
