Route 51 welcomes naturalist and photographer Gerard Fuehrer, president of Wild Journey Films of Auburndale. Fuehrer has travelled all over North America, capturing beautiful still photos of birds and animals in the wild, and has released a series of videos documenting Wisconsin wildlife habitats. Fuehrer will talk about his techniques for capturing rare images, including a hibernating mother bear nursing her infant cubs, marsh hawks feeding each other in mid-flight, and whitetail bucks locking antlers in combat. Fuehrer and Route 51 host, Glen Moberg recently collaborated on a video documentary that profiles the Mead Wildlife Area near Milladore.
