Bitterly cold conditions are expected across the state Tuesday night through Thursday morning.
In light of the extreme weather, the state Department of Health Services has updated its list of places around Wisconsin where people can go to get out of the dangerous cold. Milwaukee has also issued a cold weather health advisory.
Mayor Tom Barrett said the advisory applies to everyone.

“I have teenagers. We’ve got to remind our teenagers, ‘You’re not invincible. You need to wear mittens and hats.’ Everyone has to remember to wear mittens and hats as well,” said Barrett.
Barrett said Milwaukee police have stepped up their efforts to get homeless people into shelters. One death in the city this week has been blamed on exposure to cold temperatures.
