WPR News is launching a six-part series on heroin use in Wisconsin. Check out the first part here.
Heroin use has been increasing in Wisconsin, and not just in urban areas: Rural areas and small towns have also seen an uptick in drug use. Check out this interactive map of heroin cases processed by the state crime lab over the past three years (2010-2012). Click on an individual county to see its statistics for each year.
The data comes from the Wisconsin Department of Justice; unfortunately, not all counties have data available.
