The US Constitution establishes what the US Supreme Court has the power to rule on. But recently the Supreme Court has chosen not to rule on a variety of major cases that fall under its jurisdiction. Chief Justice John Roberts has declined to rule on or has postponed ruling on birthright citizenship and due process and other cases. What is the significance of that inaction and is there a pattern to it?
