Today on “Simply Superior,” we discuss the gales of November. The storms immortalized by Gordon Lightfoot’s ‘The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald’ have claimed ships large and small, defining the power and danger of the Big Lake. Joining host Robin Washington to share the stories of its legacy are Konnie LeMay, president of the board of the Lake Superior Marine Museum and Laura Jacobs, archivist of the maritime collection at the University of Wisconsin-Superior’s Jim Dan Hill Library. Also, Washington visits with our resident transportation expert, UWS Professor Richard Stewart, to discuss the current world-wide supply chain disruptions and its effect on our region.
