While the firm’s headquarters are in Milwaukee, Priebus said in his tweet that he will work out of Washington, D.C.

Priebus has kept a low public profile since being replaced as President Donald Trump’s chief of staff in July, after just six months on the job.

According to Politico, Priebus’ new role at Michael Best will include “consulting with corporate clients” as part of the firm’s government affairs division. But Priebus told the news outlet he doesn’t plan to work or register as a lobbyist.

From Politico:

(Priebus) says he sees his role as helping clients understand how to make progress with Trump, on Capitol Hill and in government agencies — all people and places he was intimately intertwined with until this summer.

“I look forward to continuing to work with friends and colleagues and assist them in maneuvering through politics, politicians and courtrooms,” Priebus said in a statement.

Priebus has also signed on with the Washington Speakers Bureau to give paid speeches.

A Wisconsin native, Priebus has strong ties to the state’s GOP leadership. Gov. Scott Walker tweeted his congratulations to Priebus on his new position Tuesday morning.
