Reuters Reports Company Has Retained Advisors For Potential Sale

Calumet Specialty Products is eyeing a potential sale of its Superior refinery.

News outlet Reuters reported last week that Calumet has retained advisors for the possible sale, according to anonymous sources. A Calumet spokesman declined to comment on the company’s plans for the refinery.

Potential bidders include Par Pacific Holdings Inc , HollyFrontier and Suncor.

Murphy Oil Corp. sold the refinery to Calumet in 2011 for around $200 million. The Superior refinery processes around 45,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
