Wisconsin’s deer hunt has record number of women

Wisconsin’s gun deer season opens Saturday.Thousands of hunters will take to the woods, and this year, more of them than ever… will be women and girls.

The Department of Natural Resources says about 53-thousand females are registered for this year’s hunt.

To find out more about the growing popularity of deer hunting among women and girls, Terry Bell spokes with Terrilee Pocernich.She lives in Ashland, and she runs “Camp Wild Girls dot com”, an online resource for women and girls who hunt and fish.
