What was the reason for your trip to Brazil ?

You discuss food quite frequently on ZPOYH, what did you think of the food in Brazil? Did you have a favorite dish?

The food is beef based. It’s their favorite food. So you would think that they would have lots of heart disease. But they do not because they are not overweight. They eat right in that they don’t have beef everyday, they eat lots of whole fruits and veggies and they exercise a lot. Quite a bit.

Carnaval in Rio

What did you notice about the lifestyle of the people in Brazil? Is there anything that we here in the US can learn from South American living?

They know how to dance. They never listen to music, they always move and dance and know how to enjoy life. They are vivacious in the best sense of the word.

So, in your opinion, what are the “can’t miss” sites to visit in Brazil?

Sugar Loaf Mountain on the Gondola Tram, Ipanema Beach , the old parts of the city. The nightlife that starts at midnight , the dance clubs, fishing on the ocean, and the smiles.
