Wisconsin’s gun-related homicide total for the year stands at 108, after a killing in Milwaukee this week.

Milwaukee police say Keanna Moore, a 24-year-old African-American woman, was found shot to death on Sunday.

Members of a Milwaukee church group prayed for Moore on Friday, as well as 24-year-old Lynden Johnson, a man who was shot last Saturday in what prosecutors say was a case of self-defense. The man who shot Johnson had been wounded during Johnson’s attempted robbery at a gas station.

Gloria Dupar said Johnson deserves a prayer, too.

“In essence, both families are the loser,” said Dupar.

WPR is also adjusting its gun homicide count for the year to add Eduardo Cazares, a 40-year-old Latino man killed in Milwaukee in May. Cazares was buried in Mexico.
