New educational models are emerging in school districts throughout the state, with more choices than ever before when it comes to public school programs. Montessori and Waldorf methods offer a different approach to childhood education compared to traditional classrooms, while some districts are focusing on immersion programs that teach lessons in multiple languages. How can parents sift through the choices to determine the best fit for their child?

Shereen Siewert welcomes Sarah Fisher, principal of the Dual Immersion program at the Eau Claire School District; Camomile Nusz, co-founder of Red Granite Elementary Charter School in Wausau and Elizabeth Channel, head of school at Wausau Area Montessori, for a discussion on various educational methods and what makes them unique.
