Today, Jasmine Levy Ladino singer and world music celebrant has earned sold-out shows and record charting success abroad, even though she performs in a language that’s nearly extinct.
Levy is a practitioner of Ladino, an ancient form of Spanish recognized by UNESCO as an endangered language. Today the Ladino language is spoken by fewer than 200,000 people world-wide.
