This week on Newsmakers we’re talking about the Mighty Mississippi. In particular, a new report looks at the whole ecosystem of the upper Mississippi and how it’s changing as the years go by. The report is called “Ecological Status and Trends of the Upper Mississippi and Illinois Rivers.” We’re joined by a panel of experts from the Upper Mississippi River Restoration program, including representatives of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the US Geological Survey, and the La Crosse County Conservation Alliance.
