Closure of northern Wisconsin roads by Lac du Flambeau tribe now in federal court
This winter, the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa barricaded four northern Wisconsin roads which cross tribal land. The band argues that right-of-way agreements have long expired, and the U.S. Justice Department agrees. A WPR reporter is watching the issue play out in federal court.
