Norman welcomes pianist Isabella Wu to the back to the WPR studios. Ms. Wu was a finalist in the 2015 Final Forte: Bolz Young Artist Competition. She previously won the 2014 Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra Young Artist Competition, as well as the Madison Symphony Orchestra Fall Youth Concerto Competition in both 2010 and 2012.
She will be performing the following pieces:
- Beethoven’s Tempest Sonata, Op. 31, No. 2
- Rachmaninov’s No. 1 Piano Concerto, Op. 1, 2nd movement
- Liszt’s No. 10 Transcendental Etude in F Minor
Ms. Wu will be a senior this fall at Madison Memorial High School. She began playing piano at age five and currently studies with Ms. Shu-Ching Chuang.
