  • Table sugar from a beet?

    We can’t grow sugar cane in Wisconsin but we can grow sugar beets and at one point we grew a lot. Though mostly used for livestock feed these days, we talk about the importance of beet sugar in the state and a factory in Madison that has a new use for the community.
