Miss Minchin returns to the school seeking sympathy from her sister. Sara writes a letter to Ermengarde telling her what has occurred. Although Becky is very happy for Sara, she misses her terribly. Ram Dass arrives telling Becky that she will also be living with Mr. Carrisford. Sara makes a plan to ask Mrs. Brown to give free buns to starving children and send her the bill as a way of remembering the little girl Sara once helped.
