A Little Princess 15 of 17 – The Kindness Of A Friend

After a day without food, everyone expects that Sara will look very ill and unhappy when she comes downstairs. But she seems happy and healthy, which only makes Miss Minchin even more mean-spirited. Day after day, the magic adds pretty things (not to mention good, nourishing food) to Sara’s room, even delivering a parcel of beautiful clothes to her. One cold night, Sara hears the monkey from next door scratching on the skylight and brings him inside to stay warm with the intention of returning him the next day.
