After Lavinia snitches on Sara, Miss Minchin disrupts the party between Sara, Ermengarde and Becky. She threatens to throw Becky onto the street, tell Ermengarde’s father about the company she’s keeping and starve Sara for another day. Becky and Sara go to sleep disheartened. But when Sara wakes up in the middle of the night, she finds her room transformed with a crackling fire, warm blankets and a sumptuous banquet.
