A Little Princess 13 of 17 – The Banquet

While Sara and Ermengarde are discussing the French revolution, they hear Miss Minchin scolding Becky for eating half a meat pie—even though Sara knows that the cook was the one who took it. Ermengarde learns that Sara is also hungry often and sets about retrieving a box of food and treats from her room. In the meantime, Sara makes the dingy attic into a sumptuous banquet hall, thanks to an old trunk and her imagination.
