Obama Campaigns in Milwaukee


President Barack Obama told a campaign rally in Milwaukee today thatthe middle class and less fortunate need a “champion.”

In making a case for four more years in office, the president talked about his accomplishments during the past four years and laid out some things he’d like to do if elected to a second term. Mr. Obama also says he wants to help those who have been laid off,need a loan, or who are trying to save for college.And, the president mentionedteachers.”That teacher in an overcrowded classroom with outdated school books,” he said.”Digging into her own pocket to buy school supplies but never giving up hope that she can change lives of some child in her class–she needs a champion.”

Wisconsin Republican Governor Scott Walker said in a statement released by the Romney campaign that Mitt Romney is a proven reformer who will help get more people back to work.

The president has one more campaign stop planned for Wisconsin before Tuesday’s election.He’ll rally supporters in downtown Madison Monday morning.
