Tribe to begin cleanup of old DOD munitions

The Red Cliff Band of Chippewa will begin removing rusty, half-century old Department of Defense barrels from Lake Superior near Duluth this summer.A report to be released today says a scan of Lake Superior’s bottom found 591 targets that are probably munitions barrels dumped during the Cold War years.Mike Simonson reports…
