Consumer Safety Agency Warns Of Explosion Risk

With the July 4 holiday right around the corner, federal regulators are recalling TNT Red, White, & Blue Smoke fireworks in Wisconsin, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Notification came Tuesday from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. They reported three incidents where the fireworks exploded unexpectedly once lit.

This presents burn and injury hazards to consumers, according to the agency.

The recall affects more than 36,000 fireworks that have been sold at Wal-Mart, Target, Meijer and Kroger between May and June. The recall also affects Illinois, Ohio and Vermont.
