Pentagon: No Purple Heart for PTSD Soldiers


The Pentagon ruled last week that people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD, will not be awarded the purple heart.The medal is traditionally given to soldiers wounded or killed in combat.The Pentagon says because PTSD isn’t a physical wound, it doesn’t justify a purple heart.Christina Clarkson reports on some Wisconsin veterans’ reactions…
