Lawmakers May Raise Compensation for Wrongfully Convicted

Twenty three thousand dollars isn’t much to give someone wrongfully imprisoned for 5 months. That’s according to former Catholic school teacher David Sanders who was awarded that amount by the Wisconsin State Claims Board. As Gil Halsted reports some state legislators are considering raising the state’s cap on compensation for wrongful conviction….
