The former Speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly took the witness stand in his own criminal trial yesterday.Representative Scott Jensen testified that it was a longstanding practice of legislative caucus employees to perform campaign work and that was the case when he was in charge.
But Jensen says they did it on their own time and denied that his own staff ever worked on campaigns from his state capitol office.He also told jurors that state investigators misrepresented his comments after they interviewed him five years ago.Shawn Johnson reports…
