Milwaukee Police are searching for a man who stabbed a Capitol police officer at the state office building in downtown Milwaukee today.
According to a release from the state Department of Administration, two Capitol police officers who patrol the state office building were called to the 4th floor of the building at 819 North 6th street at 1:00 this afternoon. When they arrived they were attacked by a man who stabbed one of the officers in the neck and then fled. The officer is in stable condition at a Milwaukee hospital. Police are still searching for the man suspected in the stabbing.
