Train Derails Outside Of Milwaukee, Causing Diesel Fuel Spill

Residents Of Slinger Who Were Evacuated Have Been Able To Return To Their Homes

A freight train derailed after it collided with another train at a crossing outside of Milwaukee on Sunday night, spilling 4,000 gallons of diesel fuel in the town of Slinger.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting that families who were evacuated from their homes near the derailment site have been able to return, as crews worked to clear the damaged cars and clean up the fuel spill on Monday morning.

The Journal Sentinel also reports that two employees with Canadian National Railway Co. were injured in the accident.
