Democratic Senate candidate Russ Feingold said he’s concerned about President Barack Obama’s plan to again slow the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan.
Obama said 8,400 military personnel will be in the country by the time he leaves office. A higher number than announced nearly two years ago.
“So, I am concerned we not get into a mission creep situation,” Feingold said. “This decision by itself doesn’t mean that. But it could. And I will certainly be on guard that we don’t get sucked back into another huge land war.”
