China’s ongoing detention of Chinese artist Ai Wei Wei has done more than trigger outcries from human rights groups . The action has also created a dilemma for the Milwaukee Art Museum. The museum is about to open a major exhibit of Chinese art, in cooperation with the Chinese government. The question is, how does the museum acknowledge the crackdown on a major artist without jeopardizing a show that’s been planned for years?Chuck Quirmbach reports.
