Attorneys filed the request for an immediate injunction to block the order in Polk County Circuit Court. It was part of an amendment to a lawsuit they had filed there in August against Evers’ first mask mandate.

Evers issued a new 60-day emergency declaration and mask mandate last week.

Wisconsin ranked third nationwide for new cases of the coronavirus per capita with 459 new cases per 100,000 people over the past two weeks.
