Cecilia Noël remains in my estimation, a flawless performer whose vocal energy matches her electric stage presence. Describing her sound as “urban psychedelic Latin funk”, Noël can hang with the big boys of Latin jazz with ease. The album “ A Gozar!”, Compass Records, 2009, is a superb recording featuring a powerhouse horn section and Noël at her finest!
