We learn more about the results of a Wisconsin business survey about the state’s economy. Then, a writer joins us to talk through the process of evaluating whether advice we receive is helpful or not.

Featured in this Show

  • Businesses weigh in on the future of Wisconsin's economy

A new survey conducted by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce shows that less than half of Wisconsin businesses plan to hire new employees over the next six months. At the same time, the survey shows that fears of a future recession have slightly declined in that same group over the last six months. We talk to an economic growth and development expert, as well as a representative from the WMC, about the results of the survey.

  • Should you really take that advice?

Advice is everywhere, but it’s not all good. We talk about how to tell if the advice you’re getting — whether it’s from your therapist or your mother — is good, or should be ignored.
