Forbidden Planet Decoded

An android that’s indistinguishable from a human, a storm that robs matter of its mass, and a mysterious vanished race — those are just some of the elements of life on the Forbidden Planet.

2013’s Wisconsin Science Festival radio play updates some of the science of the 1956 film classic and restores some elements of the play that inspired it — “The Tempest” by William Shakespeare.

In “Forbidden Planet Decoded” the residents of Altaira 4 and their earthly visitors collide in a place where the ultimate power is not science, but the human psyche. Presented by Wisconsin Public Radio and featuring the 9XM Players.
