  • Legal Back-And-Forth Continues After John Doe Probe Shutdown

    The John Doe investigation into whether Governor Walker’s recall election campaign illegally coordinated with outside political groups was halted by the state Supreme Court last month. That has not stopped both the prosecutors and attorneys of those investigated from continuing to maneuver in court.

    The attorneys for those investigated are seeking to have a third party oversee the return of all the evidence collected during the probe. Meanwhile, the prosecutor is considering trying to get the probe reviewed by the U.S. Supreme Court. The legal back and forth all along has been largely shaded from public view.
