In 1990, a summer replacement show debuted on CBS with little fanfare. “Northern Exposure” was intended to be a short-run comedy series, consisting of only eight episodes.
That turned into seven more, and then the network ordered 50 more. The show was a hit that lasted for six seasons.
Recently, Amazon Prime has rekindled interest in “Northern Exposure” by making all six seasons available for streaming.

Actors Rob Morrow (Joel Fleischman) and Janine Turner (Maggie O’Connell) decided now was a good time to take on the monumental task of talking with former cast members, writers, directors and crew, as well as commenting on each episode one at a time — all 110 of them — on their podcast, aptly titled “Northern Disclosure.”
BETA thought it might be fun to revisit this television gem with Morrow and Turner, so we sat down with them to talk all things “Northern Exposure” during a break from their busy podcast schedule.
