The national championship dreams of many University of Wisconsin fans came crashing down on Saturday night after the University of Kentucky Wildcats pulled off an upset win over the Badgers, 74-73.
Kentucky’s Aaron Harrison hit a critical 3-pointer with only seconds left in the game, which put the Wildcats ahead. Moments earlier, the Badgers’ Traevon Jackson missed a key foul shot.
Wisconsin’s Sam Dekker led the team with 15 points.

Wisconsin had been the No. 2 seed and the highest ranked team to make the Final Four.
Kentucky will move on to face off against Connecticut in the NCAA championship game on Monday night..
The Badgers ended the season with a 30-8 record.
Had the Badgers won, it would have been Wisconsin’s first national championship since 1941.
