In Victorian times, novelists blended humans and machines in ways that are still with us. Tamara Ketabgian will give us some notable examples of writers who came to terms with life during the Industrial Revolution. We’ll hear not only from Charles Dickens, but also from other authors who reacted to the rise of factories, steamships and locomotives.
