What can I carry on and what can I check? The answer to that question changes with each new announcement from the Transportation Security Administration. We’ll learn a lot about the thinking behind the TSA’s rules and how they evolved over time. UW-Madison Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering Laura Albert, will detail the reasons and extent of the first aviation security measures and explain the measures now in effect, including the strategy behind assigning the coveted TSA pre-check.
