A bill changing the minimum age for hunting is moving through Wisconsin’s statehouse. It eliminates an age restriction and allows a young hunter and a mentor their own guns instead of sharing. Our guests include prime sponsor Rep. Rob Stafsholt (R-New Richmond) and a lawmaker who opposes the measure, Rep. Gary Hebl (D-Sun Prairie).

What age is the right minimum for hunting in Wisconsin? Do you act as a hunting mentor? What are your best strategies for helping kids learn to hunt while keeping them safe? Email us at ideas@wpr.org, tweet @wprmornings, or post on the Ideas Network Facebook page. Join the conversation during the show by calling 800-642-1234.
