While many people plan to celebrate the annual Veterans Day this weekend, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) estimates that nearly 40,000 veterans are homeless on any given night. Our guests from Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin and Veterans Assistance Foundation explains the purpose behind constructing a ‘Tiny Home Village’ in Racine and other efforts in place to reduce the number of homeless veterans in Wisconsin. We also discuss nationwide efforts in place to combat homelessness among veterans and ways you can help.
