The barrier beach on Park Point may be eroding away, according to research from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. “Simply Superior” host Robin Washington speaks with Pam Louwagie, Duluth Bureau Chief for the Minnesota Star Tribune and John Swenson, professor and associate chair in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at UMD.

Plus, Bruce Thompson, executive vice president and community bank president for the National Bank of Commerce, is leading the push to bring an exposition district to the city’s downtown through the Better City Superior initiative. The special tax district would help the city compete with neighboring Duluth and draw in more consumer spending for the city. A bill that would allow the project to move forward is currently circulating in the Wisconsin Legislature.

Also, Washington talks airplane etiquette with former WPR regional manager John Munson and Shawn Kathleen, who operates the Instagram account “Passenger Shaming.”
