Washington interviews performers for CJM Concert
Simply Superior presents the world broadcast premiere of “We Three Kings,” a piano, cello and violin trio by composer Jean “Rudy” Perrault, written in remembrance of the three men lynched in Duluth on June 15, 1920. The piece was commissioned by the Clayton, Jackson, McGhie Memorial Committee and performed by the Gichigami Trio at the College of St. Scholastica’s Mitchell Auditorium on March 8.

Host Robin Washington also speaks with Perrault about the work, which he describes as a painful undertaking, yet one that he knew he was destined to write.
Also on this week’s show, Washington talks with public health officials about the measures being taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Northern Wisconsin and Northeast Minnesota.
