How will President Elect Biden’s pick for Secretary of The Interior impact our region? Host Robin Washington explores that question with a focus on Native lands, this week on “Simply Superior”. Plus, two favorites on the local jazz scene share their music and thoughts on life during the pandemic.

Tricia Zunker, former Democratic 7th District Congressional candidate and a judge for the Ho-Chunk nation, and Donna Bergstrom of Duluth, former GOP Minnesota Lieutenant Governor candidate and enrolled member of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians, join Washington to discuss Biden’s choice for Secretary of the Interior and the department’s relationship with the region’s tribal governments and the area in general.

Also: jazz duo Pippi Ardenia and Daniel Leahy have been a mainstay at Northland venues, particularly the Oldenburg House in Carlton, Minn. But like many others, they’ve been working off-stage and on-line since the pandemic began. They join Washington for a conversation and selections of their original compositions and favorites.
