With winter weather on the way, we learn about the city of Superiors’ new sidewalk snow shoveling program on this week’s “Simply Superior.” Host Robin Washington speaks with Superior Mayor Jim Paine on the new program, which includes purchase of a new specialty plow. Then, as Halloween approaches, Great Lakes maritime historian Brendon Baillod shares the legend of Lake Superior’s “Flying Dutchman,” the turn-of-the-19th-century Bannockburn. Baillod’s research suggests the more likely demise of the erstwhile ghost ship.
