Hall of Famer Bud Grant may be known to the world as one of the National Football League’s greatest coaches ever, leading the Minnesota Vikings to four Super Bowls. But in Superior, he was the legendary sports standout who never ventured far from his local roots. “Simply Superior” host Robin Washington hears reminisces of those who spent time with the tri-sport star from Superior Central High School, along with Grant’s visit to Superior High School for a program honoring him in 2013.
Also, the ever-changing panoramas of Lake Superior can present endless visions and apparitions. They’re also the inspiration behind Superior Siren, a solo and group project of Twin Ports singer-songwriter and guitarist Laura Sellner. She joins Washington with selections from both her solo work and with her all-female bandmates.
